Week- 6 Twitter

Social media is arguably the most powerful media platforms. It allows companies to directly talk to their customers and potential clients. Social media has allowed companies to grow but with every climb there is a fall. Not understanding or the misuse of the social media platform can destroy as easily as it can create. We can get into the downfalls in just a little.

Statistically, Twitter has a younger demographic who are highly more influenced to purchase things online. One of the topic that comes from the younger demographic is that people mostly tweet about the problems that they are experiencing with a certain product. Hashtags are used to tag people on Twitter or a certain company to let them know you are talking about them. The reason for the hashtags is for the hope that the company would read it and reply or join the conversation.

A customer who is not satisfied with a product or was not content with the way they were treated can create a firestorm on social media. If not addressed by the company it can hurt their productivity.

Not only can other peoples tweets hurt your company but your own employees can make some damage. As well as yourself, your employees represent your brand and company and it's very difficult as the boss to monitor their social media activities. Employees should not discuss company business on any type of platform without the correct authority.

That's enough of the bad. If you are looking to expand your social media mark as a whole, i suggest taking a look at https://business.twitter.com/en.html. The website can walk you through web traffic, ads and tips. Also remember to have fun tweeting.
