Week 2 AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Never has the issue of Artificial Intelligence taking over the job market cross my mind before, maybe because it never truly affected me in anyway. After reading the following article and some of the links that are mentioned it really it made me think "maybe i should start taking a look at AI". https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/dont-delay-one-can-say-how-soon-ai-take-away-jobs-todd-kelsey

One of the articles mentioned was a response to what Mr. Trumps top economic adviser, Steve Mnuchin, had to say towards AI taking our jobs "In terms of artificial intelligence taking over the jobs, I think we’re so far away from that that it’s not even on my radar screen,". According to the article by 2026 most jobs will be operated sully by machines.  Sorry Mr. Mnuchin.

So what does this mean? Well a following articles focuses on learning the means of coding and how it can help you since by the looks of it is one job that will still be around. Personally coding has always been in the back of my mind, as a graphic design student matching up with coding can benefit not only my career but secure my future when AI starts making its appearance more.

Blue collar jobs however don't seem to have a bright future. Many of the blue collar jobs have already been replaced with machinery putting thousands of people out of work. So whats what happens to these people? Well there can be a sort of stream that one can follow. The rich can take the middle class positions, the middle class takes blue collar positions and so on but that still leaves a chunk of people out of work.

Personally i feel like the only ones that are truly or have a save spot when AI hits hard are the ones with the right type of education. Education can help you longs way and like i said and the article reinforces, take a coding class because one day it help you.
